Subsurface contamination beneath storage tanks can often be remediated without the need to remove the tank floor or excavate contaminated subgrade materials. Our treatment process involves strategically drilling access points through the tank floor and injecting a specialized solution of BioTeck®, Sever®, and water directly into the underlying substrate.
In one application, xylene contamination measured 15,800 ppm within the subfloor sand. Following the treatment, contamination levels were successfully reduced, allowing the storage tank to be safely returned to maintenance operations within 90 days of the initial application.
This non-invasive remediation approach helps minimize downtime, reduce excavation costs, and extend the service life of critical infrastructure while supporting safer, more efficient maintenance operations.

During the decommissioning of a centrifuge, hazardous vapor concentrations exceeded safe levels for atmospheric entry due to elevated hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), benzene, and Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) readings.

Multiple attempts to reduce vapor concentrations using industrial-strength detergent and water flushing were unsuccessful. A subsequent treatment using a 30% Sever® solution, which completely filled the centrifuge and remained in contact for approximately one hour, successfully neutralized the hazardous vapors.
Following the treatment and final flush, H₂S, benzene, and LEL readings were reduced to zero, allowing the equipment to proceed safely through the decommissioning process while minimizing worker exposure and improving operational safety.

An API separator scheduled for cleaning contained sludge with hazardous vapor concentrations that exceeded the measurable limits of monitoring equipment, including Lower Explosive Limit (LEL), benzene, and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).
A treatment solution consisting of Sever®, Fluid Express®, and BioTeck® was applied to the separator to suppress hazardous vapors while conditioning the sludge to improve fluidity and facilitate removal from the bottom of the vessel.
After approximately four hours of circulation, vapor concentrations were reduced to non-detectable levels for LEL, benzene, and H₂S. The treatment also enhanced sludge mobility, improving cleaning efficiency while creating a safer environment for maintenance personnel.

Following a crude oil release of approximately 700 barrels, all recoverable free liquids were vacuumed and transferred to a slop system, leaving behind hydrocarbon-impacted soil with an initial Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) concentration of approximately 16%.
The affected soil was treated through a combination of tilling, BioTeck® application, and water, promoting accelerated biological degradation of the remaining hydrocarbons.
Within three months of the initial treatment, TPH concentrations were reduced to less than 1,500 ppm, significantly improving soil quality and supporting environmental restoration while minimizing the need for excavation and disposal.
